CORBA replaced by an SOA (Web Service)

An insurance solution based on Alpha OpenVMS on HP has been enhanced with Java, permitting Apache Tomcat, and a Web & AXIS2 expansion and will soon replace the 10 year old CORBA communication backbone. On the front-side, the existing fat client is now developed with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, as such ported to Vista, VB.NET. and NET 3.5 WCF, accessing the SOA AXIS2 Server, over all a SOAP integrated Web Service Solution for insurance experts ..
