Often waters turn to internal self fertilization, due to the presence of too much anerobic sludge. If that is the case, pumping-in air does not help a lot, and it does not become reliably better until the anerobic sludge is removed. Anerobic sludge on the ground of the water prevents fish eggs and later fishes from growing.
Because the mudcontains too much phosphate as fertilizer, alga growth is prompted. And if these algae in the autumn die and diminish themselves then the oxygen is used up which one brougth into waters for expensive money. A vicious circle?
